REIB Waitlist FAQ

REIB was developed for CalWORKs and CalFresh county welfare department employees across all 58 counties in California - and now organizations affiliated with CalWORKs and/or CalFresh are welcome to participate in the virtual workshops, space allowing.*

*If you are a county employee, there is no need to join the waitlist. Directly sign up for workshops on the REIB Initiative Hub.

Once you have joined a workshop waitlist, there are two ways to be notified:

  1. Confirmation email from support@REIBInitiative.com
  2. Return to View Your Waitlist Status and see if you've been 'approved.'

Guests on the waitlist will start to be notified if they have been approved to be added to the workshop starting one (1) week before the start of the workshop, up until the day before it starts.

Of course! Add the workshops that interest you and when you are available to attend. Please be considerate of others and do not add workshops you cannot attend, and take the space that could go to someone else.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact support@REIBInitiative.com.

The REIB Statewide Initiative

The Racial Equity and Implicit Bias (REIB) Statewide Initiative is a series of learning programs designed to support a more equitable and inclusive California. REIB aims to train staff and county workers at CalWORKs and CalFresh across all 58 counties in California through a variety of virtual and in-person workshops.

In order to align with Governor Newsom’s vision for California and its true commitment to equity, it is important that CDSS as an agency, overcomes its long history of overt and implicit racism and bias at the federal and state levels. Although these systems and practices precede us, it is our collective responsibility to address them, learn about them, and change them.
