Erin Duffey (she/her) works within California Department of Social Services’ CalWORKs branch as a specialist and lead for the CalWORKs and CalFresh Racial Equity and Implicit Bias (REIB) Statewide Initiative. Erin has worked in public service for over 12 years in a variety of roles within the federal, state and county government administration. Erin holds a dual bachelor’s degree in Feminist Studies and English Language Literature from University of California, Santa Cruz.
Erin is a proud biracial lesbian who takes joy in supporting her communities via championing a conscious organizational shift towards racially equitable and trauma-informed practices in social services. She is excited to facilitate collaborative efforts to disrupt poverty and create a more equitable future for all Californians. In her free time, she enjoys reading, baking, and spending time with loved ones.
